Resurrection Sunday, or as we most know it, Easter is a day like no other. As the song proclaims, it is “The Greatest Day in History.” It is the day death was defeated and we have been set free.

It is a day like no other, therefore it is UNIQUE. It is unique because what happened on that day has never happened before and it has opened a door to live life in a totally new way.

Jesus, the God Man, after having been crucified by the Romans and verified dead by Roman autopsy, three days later walked out of the grave.

He was not just spiritually resurrected, He was fully resurrected, body and all. The Apostle Paul says this is the most important event and truth ever. Tim Keller said it this way:

“If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all that he said; if he didn’t rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said? The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like his teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead.”

Look at it this way: If Jesus rose from the dead, it is the only thing that matters. If He didn’t, then nothing matters.

What say you at Easter? Is it still bunny and eggs or the day that changed everything? If so, let’s shout for the world to hear:

“Jesus is Alive, He is Alive, O Happy Day…”
