Sometimes in life there are two things that are put together and they make a great pair. In fact, they fit so well together you can’t define, or even have, one without the other.

Opposites include light and dark, big and small, black and white. You can define one by referencing the opposite. Others include moral entities such as good and evil, truth and lie. Once again you need one to identify the other.

There is another pair that even goes a little further. You can’t have one without the other, they must be equal, they must always be present. When one is present without the other, the missing one is tainted. The pair I’m referring to are GRACE and TRUTH.

Through the Truthfully Gracious/ Graciously Truthful series, I will be sharing a series of quotes that demonstrate why you can’t have one without the other and be a Jesus follower.

To start us off here is one to ponder, pray and meditate upon:

“Truth without grace breeds a self-righteous legalism that poisons the church and pushes the world away from Christ. Grace without truth breeds moral indifference and keeps people from seeing their need for Christ.” – Randy Alcorn (The Grace and Truth Paradox)
