CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: TREEHOUSE
FOR TODDLERS THROUGH 5TH GRADE
OUR MISSION for Children K through 5th
At Immanuel, we believe in the partnership of church and family. When the two work together, the spiritual influence on the next generation is multiplied. Our desire is to partner with families to instill:
Trust: the understanding that God and His word can be trusted.
Wisdom: the knowledge of scripture and that decisions can be based upon that wisdom the scriptures teach.
Connection: the developing of relationships in which they feel loved as they are and learn to treat others the way they want to be treated.
To accomplish this mission, our children’s ministry has two environments on Sunday morning.
We begin with the Treehouse large group; a family experience which we affectionately call “the place where kids bring their parents to learn.” Parents and children sing, laugh, play, and learn together. The large group experience creates great discussion starters for the ride home and around the lunch table.
After Treehouse large group, children engage in a small group study where they dig in deeper to the truth that was introduced in Treehouse.
OUR MISSION for Children Birth through Preschool
Our youngest are not too little to begin learning about God’s love and His word. Infants are lovingly cared for in our infant room. Two year olds through preschool gather in another room where they enjoy singing, playing, and learning, including being taught about God’s creation, His love and His word.
SAFETY CONCERNS
Your child(ren)’s safety is important to us. All people working with children have had background checks. Our children’s wing is locked so only those who should be there can enter. Two part nametags are utilized and children will not be released to a parent without the matching nametag. In addition, the church has security monitoring the campus. If you have any questions or any particular security concerns, we would love to speak with you about them. Please call the church office or just ask for a security member on a Sunday morning.
