Proverbs 27:17 roughly reads, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
A group of men at Immanuel has taken that truth to heart and formed an Alliance with each other. They meet each Monday for a “workout” and “Work It Out.”
The “workout” is just what it says: a physical workout. The “Work It Out” is where we gather around a fire and “work out” our salvation with each other, challenging and encouraging each other in this walk with Christ.
Men’s Alliance is part of a national strategy for men to take their call from God seriously. The Men’s Alliance Creed is as follows:
I am a common man with an uncommon desire to succeed. I will keep myself physically strong, spiritually awake, and morally straight. I expect to lead and be led, and in the absence of leadership I will lead by example. I am not too proud to ask for help. I belong to a tribe and do not struggle alone. My past failures do not define me. When the world knocks me down, I will get back up every time. Faithfulness to family and devotion to God will be my legacy. I will finish strong.
How about it, men of Immanuel? Are you ready to take God’s call seriously and get Tribal, Rugged and Real? Check with any tribe member for information.
