I believe the “For Dummies” franchise was created with me in mind. It is a series of books written for the novice on a particular subject or skill. I need that, because in many aspects of life, I’m not smarter than a 5th grader. In many cases, neither are you. Here are some actual tags or disclaimers that prove it:
 Caution, coffee is hot and can burn. Don’t spill on crotch.
 Remove child before folding.
 Take off child before washing.
 Do not iron while wearing shirt.
 Microwave: Do not use to dry pet.

I believe that an Old Testament book can have a tag line of “LIFE FOR DUMMIES.” This amazing book is filled with wisdom for how to live life.

In answering “THE POWER 5” questions of life, the question of purpose explains the WHAT, while the question of strategy answers the HOW.

So, where do we find some great strategies for how we can glorify and enjoy God? In the Bible, of course, but I have an even more specific place for you: In the book that can be called “LIFE FOR DUMMIES,” a.k.a
PROVERBS.

This collection of wise, practical truths for life are a gold mine of how we can glorify God and enjoy His blessings. I also believe it can be summed up in one phrase:
“LIFE IS LIVED BEST, WHEN YOU FOLLOW
THE MANUFACTER’S DIRECTIONS”
